Timothy Lloyd - B.Sc. FCA AIIT

After qualifying as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen, Timothy has worked in the taxation departments of three of the largest UK companies, Rio Tinto, British Aerospace and Woolworths Group, where he was Head of Taxation.  In the late 1990s Timothy undertook a fixed term contract, in a senior role, with HM Customs & Excise to help them develop their tax avoidance countermeasures.  As a result he either instigated or was directly involved in a number of very high profile Court cases, as well as changes to the UK VAT legislation.

Throughout his career Timothy has handled all the main taxes affecting business, CT; VAT; PAYE, & Customs Duties, as well as Insurance Premium Tax and Air Passenger Duty.  In addition Timothy has served on, and chaired, a number of trade association taxation committees, as well as serving on various Treasury/Revenue consultative committees.

He contributes to professional journals and presents business webinars on all aspects of taxation affecting businesses.
